For your first appointment, please plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. This will allow you time to fill out a health intake form and will provide time for us to discuss your needs and goals.
For ongoing appointments, it is best if you give yourself a cushion of time before the massage to avoid feeling stressed or hurried.

Yes. Your safety and comfort is of the utmost importance to me! Sessions are kept confidential. No one else sees your health intake form or sessions notes.

A single session can provide great relief. Many people experience dramatic improvement in their range of motion, reduced pain, and greater relaxation.
In many ways, the first session is also very exploratory. We are working together for the first time, and there is much to learn. Which techniques will be most effective for you? Which should be avoided? What is the right session length? What is the right pressure?

A phone call or text would be greatly appreciated. Also, please understand that your total massage time may be adjusted to ensure that other clients receive their services in a timely manner,

First, I will meet with you to determine your particular needs and goals. I will review your medical history and discuss what you want to achieve with each treatment.
When you are ready I will enter the room and check in with you to make sure that you are comfortable and we will begin your session.
When you are ready we’ll do a last check so I can get feedback about how the session worked for you, explore options for future sessions, answer any questions you may have, and go over any activities for you to do or avoid doing.

This is entirely up to you. Again, your comfort and sense of safety are important. The right amount, therefore, is that which best allows you to relax. Please know, however, that I work with people of all different shapes, sizes, and ages. Few of us look like the models pictured on many massage websites; yet we all deserve and need the healing power of touch.
In some cases, clothing can limit the type of work that can be done. Other types of work can be performed even with the client fully clothed. If you have any questions or concerns about this please ask and we can discuss how to accomplish the work you want in the most comfortable way.
-
Yes. If you have your own music downloaded onto a music file on your phone or portable device, you are welcome to bring it. You can also make requests of any music that is available on Spotify. Please, no heavy metal music or talk radio podcasts.

Recommendations vary depending on each person’s particular needs and goals. Often, I recommend applying ice treatments, heat, stretching, etc. It is always a good idea for everyone to drink lots of water and get some rest. The massage will be more effective if you can relax afterwards.
-
No. Although we cannot bill insurance at this time, we would be happy to provide you with a receipt to submit to your health insurance provider.
-
I accept cash, check, debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Venmo.

Same day cancelations, with the exception of those due to sickness or emergency, will be charged at full price. Please see the cancelation policy detailed on my scheduling page.
